Synopsis
Eric, Brandon and Buysile live at St Philomena, a home for abandoned children. Flanked in the middle of the ultra-urban jungle of Durban, "St Phils", their spiritual father, shape them and make them as real Men, "warriors" ready to face the life which seems to run away from them. Brothers and sisters, but also foreigner for each other, they live together all year long, fight, and form an atypical family...
On the other side, there is the real family, the original one, pouring in their veins and tattooed on their skin, although it is often the cause of their troubles. During the holidays, they leave the city to return to their "true" familly in the village, trying to gain back the time ceaselessly lost...
A double life, a new identity for these 5-year-old "Warriors.
An intimate encounter, the inner journey of these teenagers, from their life in the ultra-urban city, to their roots, in their family's bush.
On the other side, there is the real family, the original one, pouring in their veins and tattooed on their skin, although it is often the cause of their troubles. During the holidays, they leave the city to return to their "true" familly in the village, trying to gain back the time ceaselessly lost...

Director's biography
Baptiste Charles was born in Namur, Belgium in 1980. He graduated in Political and Social Sciences, he studied humanitarian assistance and focuses on strength and power of the image. After several training in techniques of image and script writing in Brussels, he joined Quizas ASBL, in Brussels, where he worked on several projects, including as an assistant director. Dazzled by the lights and the warmth of Africa, he went 5 months in Durban, South Africa, to shoot a documentary about teenagers living both in their orphanage and their families. Currently, he's working on a documentary about the Belgian borders, the physical and hidden ones. "Every season has an end" is his first documentary.

Durban – afrique du sud eté 05.
entre la piscine, le foot, la prière et les devoirs, brandon rêve sa vie: être footballeur. ou bien policier. ou bien footballeur… pas trop de choix à faire, puisque la vie a souvent choisi pour lui. comme des centaines d’autres adolescents, brandon, eric et buysile vivent à st philomena, un centre d’accueil catholique pour enfants abandonnés. flanqué au milieu de la jungle ultra-urbaine de durban, « st phils », leur père spirituel, doté d’une énorme piscine et d’une énorme chapelle, les façonnent et fait d’eux des hommes, des « guerriers ». aussi frère et sœur qu’étranger l’un pour l’autre, ils vivent ensemble toute l’année, mangent, fument, vont à l’école, pensent, prient, croient, s’en foutent... c’est ça la famille.
et puis il y à l’autre famille, la vraie, l’originale. souvent « originale », car inexistante ou démunie, elle est pourtant toujours là, attirante, alors qu’elle est la cause de tous leurs maux.

Baptiste charles est né à namur en 1980. licencié en sciences politiques et sociales, il étudie l’aide humanitaire en même temps qu’il s’intéresse à la force et la puissance de l’image. après plusieurs formations aux techniques de l’image et à l’écriture de scénario à bruxelles, il rejoint l’asbl quizas, à bruxelles, au sein de laquelle il collabore sur plusieurs projets, notamment en tant qu’assistant réalisateur. ebloui par les lumières et la chaleur de l’afrique, il part 5 mois à durban, en afrique du sud, afin de tourner un documentaire de création sur des adolescents vivant entre leur orphelinat et leurs familles. actuellement, il écrit un documentaire sur les frontières belges, physiques et cachées. « toutes les saisons ont une fin » est un premier documentaire, construit sur les fragilités des débuts.
